Eastbay was founded in 1980 with a singular mission: to make sure athletes had the best gear for their game, no matter where they lived.

At the time, it was difficult for small town athletes to find the shoes, cleats, apparel, and equipment they needed, so Eastbay’s founders began sending out letters to coaches in the area.

As Eastbay began carrying more sports and brands, the letter became a brochure, and that brochure grew into a catalog. And with every change, we were able to help and inspire more and more athletes.

Today, the Eastbay catalog still lands in millions of mailboxes every month, and now it’s also found a home here on our site.
